Gymboree | eBay | Business On eBay Is Booming

My eBay business is booming. It's so funny because all I hear about is how economy is busting and little me finally found a business I've made boom!

I have put practically zero effort into this eBay venture and it couldn't be going any better. I currently have 16 eBay auctions. Every morning I jump up and check eBay to see my new bids. When I see that my bids went up, boom I'm awake. It's works better then my morning coffee! It's like a natural energy boost. That is how this Mama starts her day.

eBay | How I Got Started On eBay

This is how it all started- GETTING PAID TO SHOP FOR eBAY
(note: not mystery shop- I don't think that really works)

The night before I started, my husband George gave me yet another kind lecture on spending too much money on the children. I hear this all the time blah, blah, blah…. blah…... blahhhh. "It's fine if you want to shop, just go to work and you can shop as much as you want,” he says. Being that we have this conversation a few times a week I tuned him out and gave him the truthful usual rebuttal. Which was," I get quality clothing for so inexpensive how I could not buy them?” His response was "If you get them so cheap start selling them on eBay." My little Mommy brain then tuned back in and came up with an idea. Maybe really his idea, but who cares now. I'm in business, my eBay business! Here's exactly what I did to start selling on eBay.

1.

I Created an eBay account- eBay has the best tutorials on how to set up an account. After you get through reading this go to www.ebay.com and set one up.

2.

A- Searched Baby Gap Clothing, All Categories on eBay.
B- On eBay clicked on completed listings on the left hand side on the page
C- Went through all the sold items on eBay and thought about what I would buy these same kinds of things for.

After about 5 minutes of searching eBay I realized I could very well sell on all the clothes in my children's closet for at least $5.00 more then I paid for them. At first I thought well this could be a hobby that pays for itself. Until just recently I had no idea that I was making enough on eBay to actually consider it a job. Even though I force myself to spend about 2 hours a week shopping it sure doesn't feel like work. When you're ready to try this just copy eBay my listings. As I blog more I'll show you how to create a cool page, thank you mail and etc for eBay. This eBay thing has been fun and easy!

Start with these 3 Simple little things

Subscribe to my blog (top right side) and create a desk top short cut for my blogs. This will ensure that you don't forget how to find me. Also, when you look at your screen you can be reminded that this could be you bringing in some extra cash.

Go to www.ebay.com and set up an account. (It's free and takes less than 5 minutes)

Check out the complete listings and you will see that lots of people do this and make money on eBay.

The next morning this Mama was on a mission. When my children woke I asked them if they wanted to go play at the mall. They are ages 2 and 4, so of course the answer was yes. I told them that I had a little shopping to do first so they would have to be on their best behavior if they wanted play in the play area. After all, what's a little briery once in a while? Were just about to Baby Gap when I noticed in the window there's a sign hanging reads "get 30% off if you spend $75.00 or more". I was already there to shop, but now I'm really shopping! That meant I could spend like $50.00 and get like $75.00 worth of merchandise. It was actually more fun than usual, because size didn't matter nor did the price.

I looked through only the sale racks and bought everything that had a deep discount. A basic rule of thumb would be not to spend more than $9.00 on any item, unless it was a coat, dress or something special like that. I spent about 30 minutes in the store and left with a great big Gap bag full of clothes. I bought everything cute and cheap. I never felt so good walking through the mall with my big ol’ bag full of clothes. The best part was when I got home to show my husband who loves to say, "If you want to shop, go get a job". I was actually looking forward to that one. When he got home and said the usual blah, blah, blah, I said, honey it's for my new hobby. I'm going to sell all these on eBay, then shop with the profits. His eyes rolled back. My Dear, I wish I could show you those eyes now. When my expansive brand name bags are on the counter he is one happy husband. He still says, "Who knew your two favorite things would actually make us money? Shopping and our children." I LOVE MY WORK!

The Right Ingredients For A Stay At Home Mom

Here is my no frills schedule. Seriously this is what I do and it really works!

-Shop when I feel like it

-I take a few pictures while my kids are sleeping

-Dedicate an hour a week to listing items on eBay

-Spend a few minutes twice a day checking my email and messages

-Mail out my sold items once a week

I absolutely love being a stay at home Mom! This is strictly to let you know that it can be done. I choose to be a stay at home Mom for a few reasons:

1. No one can do my job better than me.
2. Child care costs more than I could ever make in the career world being that I have no college education or job training.
3. I like staying home, I don't want to go to work, swipe a time card and put on an ugly uniform someone chose for me to wear.

To sum it up I really figured it out. I don't work-at least not in someone's office or store front. I SHOP FOR A LIVING, with my children present. Take a few pictures at night and then spend a few minutes posting!

I created this blog for all the Moms out there that want to make a little extra money from home. I spent 4 long years being one of them. I know firsthand how frustrating it is when you're trying to figure it out. This blog is really just to give all you hard working Moms a way to make money from home and keep your children happy, "Consider it a fair break". I don't want anything from you. I just want you to be the best Mom you can be. Love your children, be with them and shop with them! Make this new adventure a hobby or a business. The best part is that you can do this as often or as little as you like.

Here's the part that was not so fun. Finding the secret to selling on eBay. That was a pain in the behind. Well, after like 10 listings I finally got it figured out. Who knew .99 cents was the secret number? Set your starting bid at .99 cents. This will get others to look at your auctions. You won't be selling them for .99 cents, just setting the starting bid at .99 cents. I promise if you do everything I recommend you may be on your way to making money on eBay!
